China has not shared the information of hospitalized patients with the World Health Organization (WHO) for the last two weeks. Lakhs of people are getting infected with Covid after the authorities relaxed the Covid rules earlier this month. WHO said that for the last two weeks, information about those admitted to the hospital in China has not been received.
Most of the patients in China are elderly people with severe symptoms and longer treatment times. There are reports of overcrowding in hospitals and crematoriums in China. It is the biggest outbreak in China since the epidemic began in the city of Wuhan three years ago.
Fewer people are visible in the streets and metro as about sixty percent of the population has been infected. WHO has asked China to provide information related to Covid.
