Pakistan will remain in the ‘Grey List’ of FATF-monitored countries. The global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog gave this information in a statement on Friday. The FATF said that after verifying the steps taken by Pakistan against the terror financing mechanism on the ground, a further decision can be taken regarding its removal from the list.
Marcus Pleier said, “Pakistan is not being removed from the gray list today. If the steps taken by this country are found to be sustainable in the ground level investigation, then it will be removed from the list.
