Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government in Pakistan has been dealt a big blow by the main coalition partner Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM). It has tied up with the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party.
Following the developments that took place last night before the no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government, the government has lost a majority in the lower house of Pakistan’s parliament. A no-confidence motion is likely to be moved against Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 3.
The United Opposition of Pakistan in the National Assembly has now grown to 177 members after the MQM decided to pull out of the alliance, which already has 164 members.
