India and Australia will sign an economic cooperation and trade agreement today. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Australia’s Minister of Trade, Tourism and Investment Dan Tehan will sign the agreement. The agreement will be signed in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that due to the growing economic and commercial ties of India-Australia, the ties between the two countries have deepened. This agreement will further strengthen the strategic ties between the two countries.
The agreement will increase bilateral trade in the field of goods and services, create new employment opportunities, increase the standard of living and will be beneficial to the people of both the countries.
