According to reports, the police had to take action against the fans in Paris’ famous Champs-Elysées. It is being said that people have also committed arson here. More than 14,000 policemen have been deployed to ensure security across France on Sunday.
Similar riot-related incidents have been reported in several countries in Europe in recent weeks following defeats in FIFA World Cup matches. Violence broke out in Morocco after the semi-final defeat. At the same time, the scene was quite different outside the Argentine embassy in the capital, Paris.
