Farmers unions and opposition parties welcome the decision to repeal agricultural laws

Opposition leaders and state chief ministers have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to repeal agricultural laws.
Congress leader Rahul leader has said in a tweet that repeal of agricultural laws is a victory of Satyagraha.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has welcomed the decision to repeal all three agriculture laws and said that this decision is in the interest of the country and farmers.

Janata Dal Secular President HD Deve Gowda has welcomed the Prime Minister’s decision to repeal three agriculture laws. He said that he salutes all the farmers who protested against the laws in a democratic manner.

Farmers, political parties and religious leaders who staged dharna at toll plazas and other places in Punjab and Haryana have welcomed the decision of the central government. Farmers expressed happiness by distributing laddus. Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Parkash Singh Badal thanked the Prime Minister.

In Punjab, Congress State President Navjot Singh Sidhu while welcoming this decision called it a step in the right direction. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa appealed to the central government to take care of the families of the farmers who died during the protest. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chairperson Bibi Jagir Kaur thanked the Prime Minister for making this announcement on the day of Guru Purab.
