Demanding revocation of suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha members, a group of opposition MPs today demonstrated in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in the Parliament premises.
At the same time, Manoj Jha of Rashtriya Janata Dal also demanded the cancellation of the suspension, saying that this action against the MPs is against democratic principles.
Earlier, members of opposition parties including Congress, DMK Party, Shiv Sena and National Conference staged a walkout from both the houses on the issue.
