The Assam government has issued new guidelines for travelers coming from abroad yesterday in view of the new variant of Kovid in the country, Omicron. It has also been said in this that those who are willing to come from outside and live in the state, they will have to stay in the quarantine at home for seven days.
If a person is found infected, he will be bound to follow the guidelines of the government and his samples will be sent to the laboratory for genome sequencing. The state government has also said that those who want to enter and leave the state will have to upload a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha Portal before traveling.
Passengers have also been asked to give their details 14 days before the journey and it will be mandatory for such people to submit negative RT-PCR within 72 hours.
