NEW DELHI: Highlighting the civilizational and cultural connections between India and Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted the enduring admiration among the Uzbek people for Indian music, cinema, traditions, and arts. Reflecting on his visit to Tashkent, he emphasized that ties between the two nations extend far beyond formal diplomacy, rooted in centuries of people-to-people affinity.
The Prime Minister observed that the widespread enthusiasm among Uzbek youth and artists for Hindi language learning, classical arts, and Bollywood music reflects deep cultural resonance. He added that the growing adoption of yoga and traditional wellness systems has further strengthened mutual goodwill and respect between both societies.
Prime Minister Modi underlined that Uzbekistan serves as a cornerstone in India’s Central Asia engagement framework. He expressed confidence that expanding academic exchanges, tourism, digital connectivity, and cultural diplomacy will continue to reinforce bilateral ties and contribute to long-term regional stability.
