US Forces Strike Iranian Rocket Launchers Along the Strait of Hormuz

WASHINGTON / TEHRAN: Amid escalating security concerns in West Asia, United States armed forces conducted precision strikes against Iranian military positions and rocket launch platforms along the coastal corridor of the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), the operation was executed to protect international maritime transit routes and eliminate imminent threats to commercial shipping vessels.

Military officials reported that surveillance detected active deployments of surface-to-surface and anti-ship missile launchers by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) near critical maritime bottlenecks. In response, US Central Command (CENTCOM) assets, including combat aircraft and naval systems, targeted and neutralized the launch sites to preserve freedom of navigation and safeguard key energy transit corridors.

The military action triggered sharp rhetoric across the Persian Gulf. Iranian authorities condemned the strikes as a violation of sovereign territory, issuing warnings against foreign military operations in regional waters, while global commodity markets reacted with immediate price fluctuations in crude oil.
