On Monday, the Karnataka Cabinet cleared an ordinance on the controversial anti-cow slaughter bill that has yet to be authorised by the Legislative Council. Karnataka Legislative Council Deputy Chairman SL Dharmegowda was found dead on the railroad near Kadur, Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, on Tuesday morning. More than 1,500 of Reliance Jio’s 9,000 telecommunications towers in Punjab have been taken out of order, reportedly by farmers protesting against farm regulations, disrupting service in parts of the province.
