After three members of a Tamil-origin family were found dead in their flat in west London, the Scotland Yard has launched a murder investigation. Officers from the Metropolitan Police forced entry into a block of flats in Brentford on Tuesday after concerns were raised for the well-being of Poorna Kaameshwari Sivaraj. India recorded 72,049 new cases of coronavirus, almost 10,000 more than Monday’s one-day cases, and 986 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking India’s COVID-19 tally past the 67-lakh mark, shows the Health Ministry data released this morning.
