Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon passed away Tuesday morning after his health conditions deteriorated. He was 85. Lalji Tandon’s son Ashutosh Tandon took to twitter to announce his father’s demise. Lalji Tandon was admitted to a private hospital in Lucknow last week and put on ventilator support. Doctors had said that his condition deteriorated as lungs, kidney and liver were not functioning properly. An experimental COVID-19 vaccine, being developed by the University of Oxford, was safe and produced an immune response in early-stage clinical trials in healthy volunteers, data showed on Monday. The government is looking to privatise more than half of the state-owned banks to reduce the number of state-owned lenders to just five as part of an overhaul of the banking industry, government and banking sources said.
