A priest of a temple in Jaipur attempted self-immolation on Thursday morning. According to the police, the priest took this step allegedly out of frustration with the people of the temple trust who were forcing him to leave the temple. Pujari Giriraj Sharma has suffered up to 80 percent burns and is undergoing treatment at Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital, they said. Official sources said that searches were being conducted on properties belonging to Ansari and his alleged associates in Ghazipur, Lucknow and Delhi. The ministry has blocked eight YouTube news channels, one Facebook account and two Facebook posts. All of them were involved in spreading misinformation about the country’s national security, relations with foreign countries and public arrangements. The blocked channels include seven Indian and one Pakistani news channel. Democracy TV, U-and-V TV, AM Channels named Razvi, Government Updates and Pakistan’s News Ki Duniya have been shut down. These channels are blocked under information technology rules.
