The Supreme Court today sentenced former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu to one year rigorous imprisonment in a road rage case. In 1988, Gurnam Singh of Patiala was killed in a road rage incident. A bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and SK Kaul dismissed the plea for culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code.
