Indian-born Balbir Singh Dhillon will head Audi India to lead the operations in India. He will be succeeding German-born Rahil Ansari.
Presently, Audi is going through the challenging phase of downward spiral in sales. The sales have declined 11,000 units to 6,500 last year. Balbir Singh Dhillon who is going to head the Audi India has industry experience of nearly 12 years in Volkswagen company. Dhillon will take charge in from September, this year,
“Times are challenging in India, but I am confident that we will manage to turn around the business over the coming years new models come in and buyer confidence improves,” Audi started operations in India in 2007. It managed to grab and achieved peak sales of 11,192 units in 2015. But the Audi collections dropped drastically and winded up last year with just 6463 units of sales.

With the change in guard at the top level management and with its strategy of launch of new models like A6 and A8 sedans, Q8 sedans and e-Tron electric, the company is likely to reach a good target to revive the sales graph.
