The Central Government has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-Agniveers in Border Security Force – BSF recruitment. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification yesterday amending the Recruitment Rules of the Border Security Force. The revised rules state that ex-fire veterans will be exempted from the physical efficiency test. The government has also announced that the upper age limit will be relaxed by five years for the first batch of ex-firefighters candidates.

Taking an important decision, the Central Government has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-firemen in the recruitment of Border Security Force (BSF). As per the new arrangement, relaxation will be given up to five years for the candidates of the first batch of Agniveers and up to three years in case of all other batches of ex-Agniveers. They will not be required to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test again, they will be directly eligible for recruitment in the next round.
