Apart from Uttar Pradesh, searches were conducted at several places in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other states. This is the biggest crackdown by the investigating agency on PFI and its related links in the country.
Today on Thursday, raids have been conducted at many places in 11 states including Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka. More than 100 people associated with PFI were also arrested during the raids.
Most of the arrests made by the agencies have been those who were protesting around the spot during the raids and all of them are members of PFI. There are 40 such locations in Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Bihar, Assam, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and many other states where NIA and ED have raided together.
