Some people have left Hinduism in about three districts of Gujarat. The collector has ordered necessary action in this matter. However, it has come to the fore that the conversion was done without any inducement.
A program for religious conversion was organized for 45 people in a hotel in the city. Here the religious teacher got 45 people present to accept Buddhism from Hinduism by taking a pledge. Among those who converted, there are people from Mahisagar, Panchmahal and Kheda districts.
In fact, recently the Gujarat government had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in the matter of forceful or greedy conversions. In this, the Gujarat government has supported the demand for making strict laws on conversion in the country. In the affidavit, the Gujarat government said that it has passed a law in the assembly to stop religious conversions in the state.
