A delegation from the Election Commission arrived in Ranchi to review preparations for the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

The Election Commission of India’s team is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand starting today, Monday. Before the announcement of the Assembly elections, the Election Commission is reviewing the state’s election preparations. As part of this, the team arrived in Ranchi on Monday morning for a two-day visit.

Led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, the 12-member team includes two Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, three Senior Deputy Election Commissioners Dharmendra Sharma, Deputy Election Commissioner Sanjay Kumar, and five officers assisting them, including Ashok Kumar, Pankaj Srivastava, and Anuj Chandak.

Today, Monday, this team will meet with the state’s Chief Secretary and DGP at 5 p.m. Before that, the Commission’s team will hold a meeting with representatives of political parties. On September 24, the Election Commission’s team will meet with the Zonal IG, Range DIG, Divisional Commissioner, and district SPs and DCs. This meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Commission’s team is gathering information on election preparations from all of them.
