The US has blacklisted 27 foreign companies, including 12 Chinese companies, in the interests of national security and its foreign policy.
US Commerce Secretary Gina M. Raimondo said that global trade and commerce should support peace, prosperity and well-paid jobs, not risks to national security.
He said that this would prevent American technology from reaching China.
