In Maharashtra, around 12 Shiv Sena MPs joined the Eknath Shinde faction. Shiv Sena MP Hemant Godse said that Rahul Shewale has been elected the leader of the parliamentary party of the faction. He said that these MPs attended yesterday’s meeting through video conferencing. He said that through a letter, information about this decision will be given to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached Delhi yesterday and had a detailed discussion with these MPs. Shiv Sena has a total of 19 members in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party leader Vinayak Raut last night requested the Lok Sabha Speaker not to consider and reject anyone’s claim as the leader of the Parliamentary Party.
