For the last five days, Hindu temples and homes in Bangladesh are under constant attack by Islamic fundamentalists. These attacks started on 12 October. Then many Durga idols were vandalized before the worship.
On Sunday, Islamic fundamentalists also vandalized the Durga idol of Shree Shamshaneshwar Shiva temple at Firangibazar in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Several videos of these attacks also went viral on social media.
Incidents of deities being vandalized, pandals and temples demolished and idols being thrown into ponds were clearly visible in these videos.
Attacks on Hindu temples and homes continued on October 17 and 18 as well. Several people have been reported injured and some killed in these attacks.
