Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Punjab have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition dropped by a Pakistani drone on Indian territory, about eight kilometers from the international border. A senior official gave this information on Wednesday.
The officer said that BSF personnel heard the sound of a drone coming from Pakistan in the upper Takla frontier village area of Gurdaspur district at around 11.50 pm on Tuesday.
“The drone was probably at a height of 300-400 metres, but it was not visible due to dense fog in the area,” the officer said. Immediately fired about 17 rounds in the direction of the unmanned vehicle.” He said that after this he heard the sound of something being dropped on the ground.
