Rahul Dravid feels Dinesh Karthik has provided many options ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year with his aggressive final overs batting.
After the five-match series against South Africa ended 2-2, Dravid said, “It was really good to see that Karthik played the role he was picked for. This gives us a lot of options.”
According to Dravid, Karthik and Hardik Pandya are the two batsmen who can change the equation of the match in the death overs. “We needed this kind of big performance in the last five overs to get a good score and he and Hardik batted really well,” he said. Both are our main strengths in the last overs.
Dravid doesn’t want to set any time limit but wants to form an unbiased opinion on 18-20 players before the World Cup in Australia by the end of the T20I series against England.
