Hardik Patel joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. A few days back, he had resigned from the Congress party. Former Deputy Chief Minister of the state Nitin Patel welcomed him into the party.
Before joining the BJP, Patel had tweeted, “With the feelings of national interest, state interest, public interest and social interest, I am going to start a new chapter from today. Patel, in a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi before resigning from the Congress on May 18, had claimed that the party had only “played the role of a deterrent” on some important issues in the country and that “everything has been reduced to protesting only.
