A case of vandalism of deities in a Hindu temple in Karachi city of Pakistan has come to light. Sri Mari Mata temple located in Korangi area of Karachi was vandalized on Wednesday.

India has expressed opposition to the Government of Pakistan over the incident of vandalism in a Hindu temple in Karachi, Pakistan. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that India has taken cognizance of the recent incident of vandalism of a Hindu temple in Karachi. India believes that this is yet another incident of systematic persecution of religious minorities.
