Hindu temple vandalized in Karachi, Pakistan

A case of vandalism of deities in a Hindu temple in Karachi city of Pakistan has come to light. According to the police, there has been an increase in vandalism at the places of worship of the minority community in Pakistan. Sri Mari Mata temple located in Korangi area of ​​Karachi was vandalized on Wednesday.

After this incident, there has been an atmosphere of fear and fear among the Hindu minorities living in Karachi. Police force has been deployed at the spot so that no incident takes place. Sanjeev, a Hindu living here, told that 6 to 8 people came by motor cycle and attacked the temple. We do not know who those people were and why this was done. The police have registered a case.

A local citizen said that some people entered the temple after midnight and the idols of the deity were damaged. In August itself, dozens of people attacked a Hindu temple in Bhong Town.

India has expressed opposition to the Government of Pakistan over the incident of vandalism in a Hindu temple in Karachi, Pakistan. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that India has taken cognizance of the recent incident of vandalism of a Hindu temple in Karachi. India believes that this is yet another incident of systematic persecution of religious minorities.
