In the wake of attacks on places of worship of minority Hindu community in Bangladesh, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police-DMP has directed its force to protect Hindu temples. DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Alam told reporters yesterday that the police is active and taking vigil to prevent such incidents.
They have increased security at places of worship. The Cyber Crime Branch has also been directed to keep a watch on abusive posts on social media.
Cases have been registered against 24 thousand people for attacking Hindu temples in 16 districts of Bangladesh.
