Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s difficulties are increasing in the case of liquor scam. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court extended Sisodia’s judicial custody by 14 days. At present, the AAP leader is on ED remand till March 22 in connection with the liquor scam. In such a situation, even if the ED does not get Sisodia’s remand, he will be sent to Tihar again.
The ED had also accused Sisodia of destroying evidence. The investigating agency had said that they used to buy and use SIM cards in the names of other people, so that they could defend themselves when the case came to light. The ED had also told the court that Manish Sisodia had a direct role in the liquor scam.
The profit margin was capped at 12 per cent, which was completely against the policy. According to the investigating agency, Manish Sisodia did all this to give advantage to some people. The policy that was set for the sale of liquor was violated.
