Referring to the tragedy of Partition at the time of the country’s independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that a large number of people lost a lot because of the pride of the tricolor and love for the motherland and saluted their resolve to start a new life. worth doing.

Addressing the nation on the occasion of 76th Independence Day from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Prime Minister said that yesterday on 14th August, we celebrated ‘Bhaijan Vibhishika Memorial Day’ with a heavy heart.

Referring to the tragedy of partition that took place at the time of independence of the country, he said, “Then people had endured a lot because of the pride of the tricolor and love for the soil of the motherland, but did not lose patience.” His resolve to start a new life is worth saluting. Today’s day is historic.

It is to be known that after the partition of India by the British colonial rule in the year 1947, Pakistan was created as a separate country. During this, lakhs of people were displaced and a large number of people lost their lives in the communal violence that followed.
