India’s first female Olympic medalist Karnam Malleswari has expressed her admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said, “I am jealous of PM Modi because he was not there in our time. If he was there at that time, the challenges we faced would not have happened.”

Malleswari has shared a video titled ‘Modi Story’ on social media platform X, in which she credits Prime Minister Modi for the positive changes in the sports sector after 2014. According to her, currently players are getting all the necessary facilities due to the efforts of the Prime Minister.

Malleswari mentioned that Prime Minister Modi encourages sportspersons, especially when they do not achieve the desired results. He encourages them by saying, “It doesn’t matter, if it did not happen this time, it will happen next time.” She further said, “Prime Minister Modi has a very positive attitude towards sports and he has always supported sportspersons.”

Sharing a personal experience, Malleswari said that she had invited the Prime Minister to visit her academy in Yamunanagar. She was afraid that the Prime Minister would not be able to come due to his busy schedule, but she received a confirmation of the meeting from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Describing that meeting, Malleswari said, “The Prime Minister encouraged me and praised me and said that you have brought glory to the country. After meeting him, it felt as if we have a strong support system behind us. The Prime Minister also blessed me.”

Prime Minister Modi’s efforts to reform the sports sector and his support to sportspersons have been praised by Malleswari, raising hopes for the future of Indian sports.

Nice read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he actually bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “Dreams are real while they last. Can we say more of life” by Henry Havelock Ellis.
