PM lays foundation stone of projects worth more than 80 thousand crore rupees in Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of 1,406 projects worth over Rs.80 thousand crore at the third ground-breaking ceremony of the Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit in Lucknow today. These projects are in diverse sectors such as agriculture, information technology, electronics, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharmaceutical, tourism, defence, aerospace, and textiles.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that investors have reposed faith in the youth power of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the record investment in this function would generate new employment opportunities, which would benefit the youth of the state the most.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the investors that their investment will not only be safe in Uttar Pradesh, but they will also get the benefit of investment friendly policies of the government. He said that during the last tenure of his government, the unemployment rate in the state has come down from 18 per cent to about three percent.
