Popular TV Actress Divya Bhatnagar Dies of Covid-19

Television actress Divya Bhatnagar, notable for her characters in the show Yeh Rishtaa Kya Kehlata Hai and Tera Yaar Hoon Main, died of coronavirus. Actors Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Shilpa Shirodkar have taken to the social media to express their condolences to their dear friend.

Divya’s situation was deteriorated last week as her oxygen levels were seen to have declined dramatically as she struggled against Covid-19. Though, she was put on a ventilator, her mother expressed that she was struggling for her life. In reality, some of her co-stars and Tera Yaar Hoon Main’s production company had also stepped in to support Divy financially in this tough period. Still, unfortunately, she didn’t survive.

Earlier, there were rumours that Divya had already been deserted by her husband Gagan during her illness, whom she had married without telling her family in December 2019. However, Gagan had denied Divya’s family’s allegations that he had abandoned her and had absconded her.

Divya’s other works include shows like Udaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre and Vish among others.
