Promotional program of Namaste Yojana in Pilibhit on 26 February, sanitation workers will get PPE kits and Ayushman cards

The Government of India will organize a special event on February 26th to effectively promote the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (Namaste) scheme. The event will be held at the Gandhi Auditorium, Gandhi Stadium Complex, Pilibhit. The event aims to strengthen the safety, dignity, and socio-economic empowerment of sanitation workers. During the event, personal protective equipment (PPE kits) and Ayushman cards will be distributed to sewer and septic tank workers (SSWs) and waste pickers to ensure their workplace safety and health coverage. Beneficiaries who have received skill development training will be provided with sewing machines, enabling them to develop alternative livelihood opportunities. The event will also share information about the key objectives and benefits of the Namaste scheme.
