The most significant, horrific, and strategically devastating news is emerging from the Ukrainian war front today, sending shockwaves throughout Europe and the West. On orders from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian military has launched its largest and deadliest air strike yet on several major cities, including the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. In a single night, the Russian Air Force and missile defense units launched a record-breaking 656 lethal suicide drones and 73 sophisticated cruise and hypersonic ballistic missiles into Ukraine. In this horrific attack, Russia employed its dangerous military tactic, the “Double Tap Strike,” in which two missiles were fired back-to-back at the same location, completely destroying the rescue teams and infrastructure deployed after the first attack. Due to this devastating attack, sky-high multi-storey buildings in Kyiv have collapsed like a house of cards and only debris and smoke are visible all around.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force and local authorities, the attack was the deadliest and most well-planned in recent months. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described the attack as “the night of doom” and said that massive devastation had occurred in the capital’s Podilskyi, Shevchenkovskyi, and Obolonskyi districts. A Russian missile directly hit a 24-story residential building, completely collapsing a large section of the building and burying dozens of people alive under the rubble. Four people have been confirmed dead in the Ukrainian capital so far, and more than 60 others, including three children, have been seriously injured. Furthermore, Russia’s “double tap” attack wreaked havoc in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro, where six people, including a rescue worker, were killed and 36 other civilians were injured after the first missile struck. Due to this heavy shelling, the power grid in many districts of Kyiv has been completely destroyed, due to which more than 1 lakh 40 thousand people are forced to live in darkness.

Nationalist thinkers and international military experts believe that this aggressive stance of Russia is a slap in the face of the false narrative of the Western countries, which were claiming that Russia’s missiles and weapons have been destroyed due to sanctions. Just two days after President Volodymyr Zelensky continuously begged the Western countries for more Patriot missile defense systems, Putin has made it clear with this devastating attack that any modern technology of NATO is proving completely ineffective in stopping the speed of Russian hypersonic missiles. The Russian Defense Ministry has issued an official statement saying that they have carried out this ‘successful mass attack’ to completely destroy Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and secret weapons depots. Today, ‘Russia Ukraine War Kyiv Double Tap Attack’ and ‘Kyiv Missile Strike Today’ are trending on social media and Google search engine, because the whole world is shocked by how Russia has completely reduced Ukraine’s pride to rubble in a single night.
