Telangana MLA T Raja Singh was on Tuesday suspended from the party in connection with his controversial remarks against Islam. The BJP has also issued a show cause notice to him, seeking his reply within 10 days as to why he should not be expelled from the party.
Raja Singh was on Tuesday taken into custody in Hyderabad for allegedly making controversial remarks against a particular religion. The BJP MLA had on Monday released a video criticizing stand-up comedian Munawwar Farooqui and a particular religion.
In the video, Singh is purportedly seen making some remarks against a particular religion. Several members of the community had also staged a sit-in in the old city on Monday night, demanding the arrest of the BJP leader.
