A special court in Mumbai on Thursday extended till August 8 the custody of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
He has been arrested by Ed in a money laundering case.
Extending the custody, the court said the ED has made “substantial progress” in the investigation.
The central agency had arrested Raut on Sunday midnight in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra ‘Chawl’ in suburban Goregaon and financial transactions involving property of his wife and alleged associates.
The court had on Monday sent Raut to ED custody till August 4.
