The fire and emergency services have taken an innovative initiative to deliver water from Sangam to 75 districts of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government will send water from Sangam for those devotees for whom it was not possible to take bath in Maha Kumbh. In this direction, the fire and emergency services have assumed this important responsibility.
In the next phase, fire tenders from districts, which are planned to send water from Sangam, will start returning. Additional Director General of Police Padmaja Chauhan has directed Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Pramod Sharma to send water from Sangam through fire tenders of all 75 districts, so that devotees can earn merit by taking bath at their homes. This initiative is a concrete example of the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, through which even devotees who cannot go to Kumbh will be able to benefit.
This time more than 66 crore devotees participated in the Maha Kumbh, who came to Prayagraj to express their faith. This Maha Kumbh started on 13 January and continued till 26 February. The Chief Minister also visited Prayagraj on this occasion, where he did Shramdaan in cleaning the Ghats and started the cleanliness campaign.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister made special announcements for the sailors, which includes registration, financial assistance and insurance cover. Additional bonus and minimum wages were also announced while congratulating the health and sanitation workers. All these initiatives show the commitment of the government towards the devotees and service personnel.
