Security forces deployed water cannons to disperse crowds attempting to bypass heavy barricading, resulting in confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement personnel.
Protesting candidates assert that compromised evaluation procedures and a lack of transparency in public service and staff selection exams have threatened the career prospects of qualified youth. Following days of peaceful sit-ins without administrative resolution, students mobilized in large numbers to demand a comprehensive central agency investigation into the testing agencies alongside strict punitive action against responsible entities.
To maintain public order, heavy police deployments and restrictive orders under Section 144 have been enforced across sensitive corridors in the capital. While officials stated that crowd-control measures were necessary to protect public property, student organizations announced that peaceful demonstrations will continue statewide until formal, binding administrative directives are officially issued.
