By appearing on a chariot as “Patitapavan” (savior of the fallen), the Lord conveys the message that there is no VIP culture or discrimination on the path of devotion. Pulling the chariot amidst the throngs signifies that the reins of human life ultimately rest in God’s hands, and that any devotee who even touches the ropes of the Lord’s chariot with a pure heart is irrevocably absolved of all the sins of many lifetimes.
