Addressing a national youth convention today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shed light on the fundamental principles of success. He stated clearly that in the contemporary world, where technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are rapidly changing everything, only ‘Truth’ and ‘Hard Work’ remain the two pillars that can bring lasting success to any individual or nation. PM Modi warned that success achieved through shortcuts or falsehoods is fleeting and eventually leads to downfall. He urged the nation’s youth, startup founders, and emerging professionals to keep their foundations strong, emphasizing that the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047 can only rest on shoulders committed to honesty and rigorous labor.
During his address, the Prime Minister defined ‘Truth’ not just as a matter of speech but linked it to transparency and integrity in actions. He noted that in an era where the world prioritizes data and transparency, the power of truth has become even more relevant. Similarly, he redefined ‘Hard Work’ as a fusion of ‘Smart Work’ and ‘Innovation’ rather than mere physical labor. According to him, there is no substitute for hard work, but only labor in the right direction yields desired results. He cited examples of India’s recent achievements, whether in the space sector or the Digital Payments Revolution (UPI), as the result of years of consistent hard work and an unwavering belief in truth.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister gave a special mantra to the youth: not to fear failure, because if they are on the path of truth and working hard, failure is merely ‘feedback,’ not the end. He stated, “Success is not a destination, but a continuous journey, and the fuel for this journey is your character.” The event was attended by thousands of students and young entrepreneurs from across the country, where PM Modi also answered several of their questions. This message is considered significant not only for personal growth but as a major call toward building the character of the nation.
