RANCHI: Student protests in Jharkhand over alleged irregularities, paper leaks, and administrative negligence in government recruitment examinations have intensified significantly. The indefinite demonstration staged by candidates at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi has now escalated into a hunger strike, raising political and social tension across the state as several key student leaders initiated an indefinite fast.
Demonstrators are demanding a comprehensive central agency investigation into the conduct of public service commission and staff selection commission examinations. Protesting candidates allege that compromised answer keys and breaches of confidentiality have put the futures of thousands of eligible job seekers at risk. Student organizations have maintained that internal departmental inquiries are insufficient, insisting on strict accountability and legal action against testing agencies and responsible officials.
