Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that the state government will conduct a detailed inquiry into the death of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad chief Narendra Giri. Narendra Giri was found hanging from a fan at his residence in Prayagraj yesterday. Expressing grief and sorrow over the passing away of Narendra Giri, Maurya said that he had met him only a few days back and had seen him healthy and well.
He said that the government will take all steps to know the exact cause of death. State Additional Director General of Police Prashant Kumar said that the police have received a note about suicide, in which Narendra Giri has accused Anand Giri and two others of forcing them to commit suicide.
He said that Anand Giri, a disciple of Narendra Giri, has been arrested from Haridwar and further investigation is going on.
