Dr Jitendra Singh has announced the completion of India’s first HPV vaccine scientifically developed for the treatment of cervical cancer. Speaking on the occasion in New Delhi today, Dr. Singh said that it is a cheap and economical vaccine to eliminate cervical cancer. Emphasizing on the importance of health care, he said that this vaccine will be available to the people at an affordable rate.
HE SAID THAT THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WORK RELATED TO VACCINES HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND NOW THEY WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. SINGH EXPRESSED HOPE THAT THIS VACCINE WOULD LIVE UP TO PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI’S CALL FOR A SELF-RELIANT INDIA.
Speaking on the occasion, Adar Poonawalla, CEO, Serum Institute of India said that they are now focusing on women’s health. She said that women have to be healthy to be empowered.
Dr NK Arora, President, COVID Working Group has said that it is a proud experience to launch the vaccine manufactured in India. He said that it is full of excitement to launch the vaccine manufactured in India. I am glad that our daughters and granddaughters will now be able to receive this much awaited vaccine.
