Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla on Friday marshaled out the MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the entire day of the special session for the video-recording of the proceedings of the House by BJP MLA Ajay Mahawar.
He said, “Have you recorded the video? If you did, why shouldn’t your phone be confiscated? This is against the law of the House.” Mahawar and his party MLAs did not respond to Birla’s queries. A war of words broke out between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP MLAs over the issue.
After this Birla said that BJP MLAs have wasted the time of the House. He threw them (BJP MLAs) out of the house with the help of marshal.
BJP MLAs came out of the house and stood near the Gandhi statue in the assembly premises. They raised slogans demanding the arrest of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and his removal from the cabinet over the dispute related to the Excise Policy 2021-22.
