NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to host a dedicated interaction today with the Indian athletic contingent, coaching staff, and support teams following their campaign at the Asian Games 2026. The official gathering aims to formally felicitate the athletes for their competitive performances on the continental stage while motivating them for the next cycle of global competitions.
The meeting will provide a platform for athletes to share firsthand experiences, preparation methods, and reflections on the tactical demands encountered during tournament play. Government representatives will highlight the squad’s collective discipline and athletic achievements as a primary source of inspiration for younger athletes entering structured grassroots sports programs.
The interactive session forms part of the administration’s broader framework to sustain morale, honor athletic contributions, and promote competitive sports nationwide. Direct engagement with senior leadership provides positive momentum as the contingent begins structured preparation for upcoming international sporting tournaments.
