As the news of sudden demise of the former Minister for External Affairs spread, globally people began condoling her death through their tweets. Sushma Swaraj, 67, died of massive heart attack on Tuesday. She became a point-of-contact for people to reach out when they needed help. One of the most active accounts on Twitter, sadly, this account has become silent for the world.

No doubt, one cannot forget her as the most important and power leader of BJP. One cannot forget her human approach to her role as a External affairs minister.

It was not the high level approach but she paved the way for anyone from anywhere could reach out to her with their distress call through her twitter account. There are innumerable stories where people have been saved from different countries, just by approaching her on her twitter account. She became famous as the diplomat with a difference.

Her round-the clock twitter presence made her famous and people fondly named her called Twitter Minister. Any and every person who was in problems began asking her for support. But many a times, her sense of humour left the entire netizens laughing. She was full of wit while dealing with people approaching her for homely demands. Her comic timing cannot be forgotten. People approached her for everything from Passport issues in a foreign country, visa woes, to even a refrigerator not working. She gave assurance to her countrymen by saying that even “if you are stuck on Mars, Indian Embassy will help you”.

A desperate Indian once tweeted her that in the harsh summers, his refrigerator was not functioning. To which, she comically replied, “Brother I cannot help you in matters of a Refrigerator. I am very busy with human beings in distress.”

Distressed people approached her from Pakistan too and she was there to help and support the one-year old baby with a heart surgery. She won over everyone’s heart globally when she announced the medical visa for the parents of the one year old Baby.
