Amid escalating tensions with the United States and Israel, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy has issued a fierce warning regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Iran made it clear that every movement and halt in the strait is under complete surveillance of its armed forces, and any miscalculation by the enemy will have deadly consequences.
This warning came after the US Central Command claimed that two American warships passed through the Strait of Hormuz and launched a mine-clearing operation in the Gulf. Iran flatly rejected this claim, calling it a failed propaganda stunt timed alongside Tehran-Washington negotiations, adding that the American destroyers were forced to retreat. The IRGC further warned that any military vessel approaching the strait under any pretext will be treated as a ceasefire violation and dealt with firmly. This entire episode unfolds after Iran-US talks collapsed, with both nations failing to agree on the terms of a two-week ceasefire following nearly a month of intense conflict.
