An earthquake measuring 6.4 Richter occurred again on Monday in the Turkey-Syria border region. About three people were killed and more than 680 were injured in the earthquake. The European Center for Seismology reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 2 kilometers in Hatay province of Turkey.
The quake hit the city of Daphne at 8:44 pm local time and its effects were felt as far away as Antakya and Adana cities, 200 kilometers to the north. There was no immediate news of casualties. Turkey’s official news agency Anadolu reported that tremors were felt in Syria, Jordan, Israel and Egypt.
Two major earthquakes also shook neighboring Syria on the 6th of this month, leaving more than a million people homeless and killing more than 46,000 in both countries.
