Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry has said that the government is committed to not allowing the untoward incidents that happened during Durga Puja in the country to happen again. In a letter sent on Sunday to foreign embassies, representatives of the United Nations and international organizations based in Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Bangladesh government is clearly aware of incidents of attacks on Hindu religious places and idols during Durga Puja celebrations in six districts of the country. condemns.

The letter said that the government has taken the reactions of the Hindu community seriously. As an immediate step, Border Guards Bangladesh has been deployed in 37 districts of the country to assist the civil administration.

Bangladesh’s foreign ministry told foreign embassies and the international community that the perpetrators had been arrested and legal action was being taken against them. He said that communal harmony and peaceful coexistence are the cornerstones of the democratic politics of Bangladesh.
